When I was growing up, we had a rule: No singing at the table. When Silas and I were first married, I found out that he had the same rule at his house. We wondered why our parents would have such a silly rule about something so innocent as singing.
Oh how naive!
When our three boys the ages 6, 5 and 3 who sing "The Imperial March" from Star Wars at every meal, or better yet, all sing different random songs at the same time, we realize why our parents had this wise rule.

Dun dun dun dunDAdun dunDAdun! I don't think we had that rule at our house. Maybe it's a boy thing?
my family had that same room, mostly because of me.
