Week 13, March 26-April 1

Sunday, March 26th-

Silas was gone a lot today and I wasn't feeling well so after church the kids watched several movies. I'm anxious to get feeling better so we can have more meaningful Sundays.

Monday, March 27th-

Some things that Molly says that we want to remember:

"Feel me better." She says this about things she wants that will make her feel better. Like having a treat will "feel me better, Mom."

"Stay the light on." Molly says this every night. She wants us to leave several lights on when she goes to bed at night. It's pretty funny.

Tuesday, March 28th-

Birthday boy!

Happy birthday to Silas! Tonight was fun. We had the Warby’s over for Angel Food Cake and ice cream.

He has wanted a toaster oven for a while!

Wednesday, March 29th-

• Went to spin class today and even though I didn't push my normal intensity, I got a good workout.
• Took the kids out to get lunch.
• Walked the Ashdown trail with Lori and her kids after dropping off Cora at school.
• 
  Ryan played at Andrew’s after school
• Pinewood derby. Grant and Ryan were both good sports and even though they didn't get into the top 3 they were happy.

  Tonight when I put the kids to bed without Silas (like I do every Wed) it was apparent to me that my kids can have a hard time following through with the tasks I ask them to do. I need to figure out how to help them listen and obey without lecturing them all the time.

Thursday, March 30th-

• 3rd day in a row of feeling mostly normal. Yea!
• Cleod went to school even though he is still coughing.
• Grant & I went on a date. We did some grocery shopping, went to the Dollar Store and had ice cream at DQ.

Friday, March 31st-

Tonight for date night we all went to the Warby's and we ignored the kids (after eating some yummy Navajo Tacos) and played games. The kids were happy and we had a good time. We played Dominion which we just introduced to Brett and Deruchette on Silas's birthday but were only able to play it for a short time since it was a school night.

More funny Molly things that I wrote down during General Conference today...

Molly: “I'm awake!” And pointing at the window, “It’s summer, right there!”

(This was at about 11am this morning. When the sun is out, Molly says it is summer.)

Molly, after eating a bite of a chocolate cinnamon bear: “I got the hot out!”

Molly: “Thanks for buying this new couch for us!” (We bought it months ago.)

Conference today was really good. The kids were well behaved, except that they ate all the snacks during the first session. That just meant that they didn't get anything during the second session.

The had some computer time during the breaks and we had pig in a blanket like normal...except the kids don't really like them anymore. We might need a new tradition.

Silas and Cleod went to Priesthood Session together and then went to Hermies with the Warby boys. The Warby girls, plus me and a friend from the 9th ward names Ashley, hung out at Deruchette's house while the boys were at Priesthood. We had pizza and brownies and opened oysters that Kathleen bought for everyone. They have pearls in them and you don't know what color it will be. It was really fun!
