Salt Lake Trip

Last week we were able to go to Salt Lake for two days. Silas had a work conference and so while he was busy, the boys and I visited Temple Square, did a little shopping and best of all, got to spend time with my brother Darin, his wife Kira and her 4 kids. Darin and Kira got married in July and we hit it off right away but hadn't spent much time with them. The kids LOVE Kira's kids and Silas and I do too! It was a BLAST!
My sweet Cleod loved visiting the temple. He's getting so old and learning more and more about the Holy Ghost. He's starting to read the Book of Mormon on his own...he's not even 7! He's amazing!

That's all the photos we have. Sadly, we don't have a working camera right now, so Silas's phone is all we have. Hopefully we can fix that soon.

Teeth

A few weeks ago I noticed that Cleod had a permanent tooth coming up behind his baby teeth and the baby teeth were not loose AT ALL. So we went to the dentist and he removed two of his bottom teeth. Cleod was a champ. He cried a little after the meds started to wear off but we got some ice cream and that helped with his mood and with the numbing. I felt like a real mom helping him with this new experience. It was kinda cool.

His adorable note! (He lost on of the teeth, but you can see the other on the paper with it's HUGE root.)

School

This year I have a first grader and a kindergartener so it has been an interesting adjustment. Kindergarten is only half-day here, so Cleod had to adjust to being at school all day which actually wasn't too bad. He likes school and he LOVES school lunch.
Ryan just started Kindergarten this week and couldn't be happier. He has a different teacher than Cleod had which I think is good, not because of the teacher really, but just so he had something different than Cleod. He goes in the afternoon he and Grant have time in the morning (after we drop off Cleod) to play.

I love my growing boys!

Soccer

Ryan started soccer a few weeks ago and he is so excited! He actually does pretty good, although they are very relaxed at this age. Ryan loves talking to his teammates and he loves his uniform. I am excited to watch him for them next month or so.

We only signed up Ryan this year, but there ended up being a spot on another team so we got Cleod on as well. Love being able to do this for my kids!

Four

So, have you heard people say that after 3 kids it's not as hard? I have. Several times.

They lied.

Big time.

I am just getting out of survival mode, 7 months (in a few days) after having Cora. I can get my important stuff done and sometimes a little more, although I am not ready for crafting and that type of thing.

Don't get me wrong. I love my kids. Cora is the best baby, it's just that there is always someone who needs you. That can be such a good feeling and so overwhelming too.

Anyway, this is why I haven't blogged much. I don't feel badly about this, except that I don't journal much otherwise so it's a good way to do that. I will try a little harder. I do have our trip to MO I need to post...

We'll see.

Bodies

We have been passing around a stomach bug at our house and I just want to say that I am so thankful that I am healthy 99% of the time. Not everyone can say that, including my sweet husband who suffers a lot more than he lets on. I am so thankful for this life and the chance we have to learn about this sacred things we call bodies.
