- Early orthodontist appointment for Ryan.
- Walked at the track with Megan again and the kids all played while Cleod had summer band.
- Playgroup at the East Canyon Park.
- Ate lunch at the park
- Picked up papers and did paper route.
- Went to the bank and opened savings accounts for both boys so they can start savings half of their paper money.
- Got Tiki Shack snow cones.
- Babysat at the gym again. Hopefully this is the last evening for a while. A new Wednesday night person is starting next week.
- Silas had his normal meetings this evening and my goal is to do family history on Wednesday evenings while he's gone. With the kids staying up later in the summer, I have been worried that this wouldn't happen as much. Tonight the neighbors were out and I let the kids play. I had the door open so they came in and out but I just sat at the computer and researched some names. Ryan came in a one point, put his arm around my shoulder and said, "You are a good mom!" and then ran back outside. This meant a lot to me coming from him because I have noticed that he is the one that comments the most, in a negative way, when I have times that I am on the computer a lot doing genealogy. I haven't been getting on when they are awake or home as much but since I was tonight and Ryan still complimented me, I was pretty happy.
Thursday, June 9th-
- I keep doing bullet points because it is easier to organize my thoughts. :)
- Early today Megan and I went for a run. OK, it was more like a jog for her but I haven't worked out my normal schedule so I was nervous but I made it! We ran over 3 miles at an average 10:30 min/mile pace. I was happy about it.
- Cleod had summer band again.
- Story time at the library was about sheep and wool and weaving. Then we picked out books for a few minutes.
- Met up with the Warby girls at a park by Jamie's house and had lunch. Grant is starting to feel the middle child thing lately. He was really down today because Ryan was playing with Leksi and Taejen was playing with Carson so he felt left out. It's hard to figure out the best thing to do in those situations.
- Cleod watched the kids tonight while Silas and I had a date. I made the kids frozen pizza and as they were starting to eat, Ryan was complaining about his teeth hurting since he just had his orthodontist appointment yesterday and got a new wire. Molly stood up on her chair and said, "We can do it! We're winners!" I have no clue where she learned this phrase, but it was perfect and made everyone happy. (Another funny part of that is that she didn't finish her own pizza even after her little pep talk with Ryan.)
- Silas and I went to Brick House and stuffed ourselves with their sandwich and cheesecake goodness. Then we went to the Stake Center for another Adult Religion class. Tonight was about the translation of the book of Abraham. It was very interesting and I again felt the Spirit testify to me of the truths that Pres. Rau was teaching us.
