July 24-26

Sunday, July 24th-

Molly folding laundry at Grandma's house this morning
Happy Pioneer Day! Today I had the great opportunity to speak in Sacrament about some of my favorite pioneers: William and Ann Jewell Rowley as well as Andrew Baston. It was a great chance for me to remember their stories and feel the Spirit as I prepared some remarks. I love my ancestors!

Monday, July 25th-

Grant thought he could eat a quarter of the watermelon.
For the record, he didn't make it. haha
Silas had work off today because of Pioneer Day so we went up Summit Canyon to the property and were able to hang out with Mark, Jeri, Steph, Becky, Pam and their families. We all live so close but don't see each other much so it was a great day. It was hot and the kids were WHINY but it was still a good day. We especially enjoyed visiting with Mark about some of his experiences as a Bishop. It helped Silas because Mark said some things that Silas could relate to that helped him feel like he is doing OK.

Ryan had a hard day. Right when we got up there, he got stung by a bee...twice...in the face. He got stunk near his right temple and on the right side of his nose, at the top. We put some stuff on it, but it was swelling for a few minutes. Luckily Jeri had some Benadryl and that helped pretty quickly.

Sad Ryan. I should have taken a picture eariler
when it was a little swollen.

Cora got a hold of my phone again. She loves taking selfies.

Before heading home, we stopped for a snow cone to help cool us down. Yum. And we drove passed the temple.
