Provo City Center Open House

Friday, March 4th-

Today was a long and wonderful day. We left the house just after 8am and had a good drive to Provo. We took Brooklyn with us to meet her dad. It was great to spend some time with her. The kids were great travelers, as usual.

At the temple open house, we lucked out and weren't in line for very long, which was a blessing because the kids were hyper and ready to move around after the drive.

We were in and out of the temple in about an hour. Ryan had a beautiful experience. I didn't know until we entered the temple, but he had a headache. We literally were 5 steps into the temple and he told me that his headache was gone. This really helped him enjoy the Spirit in the temple and he was in awe at everything he saw.

It was lunch time when we finished the tour, but we made our way outside to get a photo and enjoy the beautiful exterior for a few minutes.

Then we made our way to Chuck-O-Rama for lunch, which the kids especially appreciated. After a little shopping, we headed South. We were able to stop at Gary and Jolayne's home for a few minutes where we had a great visit. The kids were a little hyper but overall it was a great time. We need to take advantage of the fact that they are so close and make more of an effort to spend time with them.

The trip home seemed long after the day, but wasn't too bad. In fact, I am the worst traveler in the family. At one point though, Cora was sad about something (she was super tired) and Molly passed her favorite blankie back to her. This isn't the first time she's done this and it just makes me a happy mommy! When my kids are kind to each other, it makes all the hard stuff seem small.
